The Visiting Teaching Fellow is housed in the Department of Accounting & Business Law, which serves all students in the College of Business & Technology through courses in accounting and business law. These courses support various academic programs, including the BAA in Accounting and Master of Accountancy (MACC). The visiting faculty member is expected to contribute to the department's academic mission through scholarly research, provide service to the college and department, and maintain currency in their profession.
Responsibilities
Faculty-Teaching/Instructing
The Visiting Teaching Fellow is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online environments. The primary mode of instruction within the department is through traditional face-to-face classes.
Faculty - Scholarly Research
Accounting faculty members are expected to conduct and publish scholarly research and develop within the profession in line with AACSB guidelines for maintaining status as a Scholarly Academic.
Faculty- Service to Institution
All faculty are expected to support the advancement of the department, college, and university mission by providing service to the institution.
Faculty- Professional Development
Faculty members are expected to remain intellectually active and maintain currency in their discipline.
Required Qualifications
Terminal degree in accounting from an accredited university. Doctoral student applicants in an All-but-Dissertation (ABD) status will be considered. Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements.
