Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting, Department of Accounting, Tennessee Tech University. Full time, tenure track position to begin August 1, 2027. Rank to be determined based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications.
Qualifications:
Earned PhD or DBA in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited university or a school with internationally recognized accreditation. ABDs with degree completion expected by start of contract period are encouraged to apply. Professional certification and professional experience are desirable. Capacity for effective classroom teaching, ability to produce quality research, and a commitment to service are required. Candidates from all accounting specialties will be considered, but those qualified and interested in teaching auditing are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Principal responsibilities for candidates will be teaching accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, both online and on-campus. Engagement in research resulting in publications in recognized refereed journals and providing university and regional service are also required.

Founded in 1915, TTU is a comprehensive state university serving more than 10,700 students and is located in Cookeville, Tennessee, approximately 80 miles east of Nashville. About the Department of Accounting:
The College of Business serves approximately 1,400 students and holds AACSB accreditation in both Business and Accounting. The Department offers an Accounting major in the College of Business and also a Master of Accounting program, and is supported by 9 full-time faculty members, including 8 tenure track positions. The program graduates 60 to 70 undergraduate students annually and is widely recognized for its quality. Students typically accept positions in public accounting, industry, or government.
