"Volunteer Mens Lacrosse Coach"

The Men's Lacrosse Volunteer Coach is responsible for leading and implementing a comprehensive sport program for Saint Mary's College within the Division of Student Life. This position is responsible for the student athlete participants and provides oversight to the program needs and direction.

Seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Men's Club Lacrosse Coach to lead and develop our competitive club lacrosse program. This position is ideal for a motivated leader who values teamwork, player development, and sportsmanship. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of the program, including training, leadership, administrative duties, and competition preparation.

Requirements

• Understand and demonstrate the mission and values of Saint Mary's College.
• Build a successful coaching plan for the team with pre-season, in-season and postseason objectives.
• Effectively interact with assistant coaches, student assistants and other college personnel regarding scheduling, travel, and compliance.
• Plan & attend weekly and daily training sessions 2-3 per week.
• Lead the team during games, scrimmages, and tournaments.
• Interest in player development, growth and providing feedback. Oversee player welfare and ensure the health and well-being of each participant and maintain and build player performance success.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture.
• Support the student-led structure by empowering team captains and officers.
• Assist in recruiting efforts for the program.
• Follow college policies that align with student code of conduct and academic probation.
• Responsible for maintaining proper coaching certifications.
• Oversee game day field set-up & assist in referee assignments in collaboration with the office of Club Sports.
• Assist Team leaders in the travel and transportation aspects of the team and competition days.
• Adhere to eligibility requirements for participants.
• Assist in maintaining equipment & supplies.
• Maintain open communication with student leadership and campus staff.
• Adhere to college policies regarding financial and budgeting processes.
• Attend events as requested and represent the college appropriately.
