Offer Description
The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) is inviting applications for the position of a
W2 professorship for Business Administration, esp. Consumer Science & Digital Markets
as of 1 October 2027.
We are looking for a candidate who is who is outstandingly qualified in marketing, specifically in the field of consumer research at the intersection with digital markets. In research, we require a proven ability to publish outstanding, field-relevant, and internationally recognized empirical work, as well as a successful record of securing external funding. Applicants must have proven expertise in business-related research on consumer science and digital markets. Applicants must demonstrate proven expertise in business research related to consumer science and digital markets. Interdisciplinary connections, particularly to the field of artificial intelligence, are desirable. Applicants should also demonstrate how their research aligns with the faculty’s business research. We are a faculty that actively embraces and helps shape forward-looking developments in business administration research and teaching. We are looking for a dedicated colleague who will actively contribute to the faculty’s continued development.
In teaching, we expect engagement in the courses of the Bachelor’s and Master‘s programs in business administration as well as in graduate education in German and English. Considering digital elements in teaching is explicitly desired. In addition, we expect active involvement in academic self-administration.
Conditions for employment are, in addition to general administrative conditions in accordance with § 36 of the North Rhine-Westphalia University Act (Gesetz über die Hochschulen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen), an aptitude for teaching, exceptional competence in research, and additional scientific achievements.
