The Position
This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team undertaking independent research in the area of supramolecular chemistry, coordination chemistry and catalysis. The successful candidate will be working on the project “Self-assembled supramolecular cages for guest binding and catalysis” which is supervised by A/Prof Nicholas White and Dr Annie Colebatch.
The Person
We are looking for an academic with experience in supramolecular, coordination chemistry and/or catalysis with specific research in either organic or inorganic chemical synthesis including characterisation of novel compounds through e.g. 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopies. Experience in any of the following techniques would be advantageous but is not essential: X-ray diffraction techniques (including synchrotron), air-free Schlenk techniques, catalytic screening and optimisation procedures, DOSY NMR spectroscopy, quantification of host–guest binding constants, computational chemistry.
