Summary
The Crabtree Center for Student Wellbeing of Washington & Jefferson College, within the Division of Student Life, offers free and confidential individual and group mental health counseling and a variety of psychological, developmental, and connection-based programs for all W&J students. The goal of the center is to empower each student to engage in the process of self-discovery, purpose, and authentic living to create an enduring culture of resilience and personal growth.
Reporting to the Director for the Crabtree Center for Student Wellbeing, the Wellbeing Counselor and Coordinator provides short-term mental health counseling services, crisis intervention, and wellness education to support the overall wellbeing of W&J students. The role involves the use of clinical skills and the ability to collaborate with campus partners to foster a healthy, inclusive, and supportive campus environment, enabling students to thrive academically and personally. In the Director's absence, this role will also function as a second-in-command for the Center if licensure requirements and professional skills are met.
