Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in veterinary medicine, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
- At least five (5) years of occupational (i.e., practical) experience within the veterinary field or wellness-related field
- Educational background and occupational experience appropriate to fulfill program goals
- Ability to work remotely full-time with occasional travel, as needed
License/Certification Required
Master's degree or higher in veterinary medicine, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in an online environment and in group facilitation.
- Additional credentials and/or certifications related to wellness support and/or communication
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills and project management skills
- Professional presentation skills
- Experience in coaching and mentoring of students and/or professionals
- Ability to interface with outside agencies and key players in the development of potential partnerships and expanded opportunities
- Experience with online/ distance learning environments
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Wellness & Engagement Coordinator, Veterinary Technology Program will assist the Veterinary Technology leadership team with essential duties and responsibilities as outlined:
- Lead and coordinate comprehensive wellness program for Veterinary Technology program; inclusive of students, faculty, and staff
- Ensure wellness needs and objectives are being met for students, faculty, and staff
- One-on-one coaching and personal wellness development activities for students and faculty/staff through various modalities.
- Implement wellness and communication curriculum and resources for the program; interface with outside stakeholders to provide ecosystem of support for students, to include wellness coaching and mentoring programs
- Teach in the curriculum in area(s) of wellness, communication, and foundational skills for thriving in life and career
- Manage/oversee wellness and communication aspects of curriculum
- Facilitate group meetings of instructors (program cohesion, troubleshooting, share best practices)
- Manage/oversee wellness opportunities outside the class setting (Examples include guest lectures, zoom activities, mobile apps, peer support, exercise/diet support, etc.)
- Implement outcomes assessment and monitor for wellness initiatives
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to develop best practices in wellness program development and implementation in veterinary technology/nursing education
- Other duties as required based on growth or needs of program
Work Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Suggested Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
