Job Summary:
This position supports the overall well-being of the RRCC student body through the provision of high-quality educational outreach, suicide prevention, and care coordination services. The position assumes a leadership role in planning, developing, marketing, and implementing campus-wide outreach services in conjunction with direct service delivery and care coordination as part of the Student Health Clinic. This staff member utilizes evidence-based programming and assesses the measurable impact of such wellness programs and training with an overarching goal of providing students with informed decision-making skills that enhance their personal wellness and academic performance. This position also provides oversight and coordination of well-being programming (including the Healthy Minds Resource Center) as well as hires, trains, and supervises students and interns. The Coordinator meets regularly with the Director of Student Health and Counseling to develop, implement, and evaluate programming to ensure it addresses current campus needs and is aligned with departmental and college goals.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work from campus (primarily our Lakewood campus with occasional hours at the Arvada campus).
- Demonstrated skills and experience with behavioral health care and crisis response.
- Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various internal campus teams and external community partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both orally and writing.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in social work, counseling, psychology, or similar areas.
- Three (3) years of experience working in education or terminology, and medical privacy guidelines and ability closely related area with knowledge of systems.
- Experience with wellness programming, mental health to communicate difficult/sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree preferred, experience working in diverse communities and supporting the success of individuals from racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented.
- Licensed or licensed eligible to practice in the state of Colorado.
- Experience working as part of a case management support team and working with grants.
Physical & Cognitive Demands
The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
Starting Salary
Starting salary range for this position is $60,417 - $66,459 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
