Women and Gender Studies Faculty Adjunct Pool
Position Details
The Department of Women and Gender Studies (WGST) in the AddRan College of Liberal Arts occasionally has openings for part-time, temporary adjunct instructors. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in WGST would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.
The ideal applicant will have at least a master's degree in women, gender, and/or sexualities studies, feminist studies, or other interdisciplinary field or traditional discipline with explicit expertise in gender, sexuality, and feminist or queer theories and methods. We are particularly interested in scholars of Chicana feminism, Indigenous feminisms, Black feminism or womanism, STEMinism, transnational feminism, other forms of intersectional feminism, or those who work in or with queer and/or trans of color critique. WGST anticipates the need for instructors to teach our Introduction to Women and Gender Studies course which centers the social construction of gender, sex, and sexuality; privilege and oppression; intersectionality; and feminist praxis.
