Guided by a strong set of values and principles, the University Advancement team develops and implements comprehensive programs that foster private support for Curtin. We consider ourselves changemakers and ensure education is accessible to all. We support groundbreaking research and connect supporters with programs that equip our students to become responsible global citizens. Motivated by a shared vision, the team is high-performing and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.

Your new role

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to philanthropy and community engagement initiatives by developing relationships with alumni and existing partners to support our programs and research.

Curtin alumni are individuals who have completed their studies at Curtin University and have moved on to pursue careers or further education. They form a valuable network of graduates across the globe who have benefited from their time at Curtin and are vital stakeholders who can contribute to supporting the University's mission and vision.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in cultivating connections with Curtin alumni and partner organisations, leveraging their support to advance our mission. Your responsibilities include developing and managing the alumni and stewardship program for the faculty of Humanities, crafting innovative initiatives, and coordinating on-campus events.

We're seeking a creative and dedicated individual to join our team and collaborate on various exciting projects. You'll have the chance to build strong relationships both locally and globally, engaging our alumni in impactful volunteerism and philanthropy opportunities that support our vision to make tomorrow better.

Please note, this role will contribute to university-wide initiatives for the first six months, before transitioning to focus on initiatives for the Faculty of Humanities for the second six months.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A personal passion for making a difference, who is driven through building and nurturing strong relationships and fostering an inclusive, warm, and welcoming environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and oral communication skills to liaise effectively with, and influence a wide range of people at all levels both within and external to Curtin and an ability to build trusted and lasting partnerships and networks.
  • Ability to develop and deliver programs, events and initiatives to achieve strategic outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience working with a customer relationship management system.
  • Previous experience in engagement and/or fundraising, and desire to support the transformative mission of higher education.

As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role. Please note: Relocation and sponsorship support will not be provided for this position.
