Qualifications - The student hired for this position should know how to:

- Collaborate with all IT staff to assist students and staff with resolving various IT issues.
- Provide assistance to individuals who visit the help desk in person.
- Provide phone coverage as required.
- Aid in asset management and the deployment of IT assets.
- Utilize Team Dynamix/IT ticketing system.
- Follow and promote help desk best practices.
Skills:
- Ability to work with a diverse staff, to communicate effectively with people of varying technical, cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to follow directives from all IT employees as required.
Preferred requirements:
- A strong desire to learn about the field of Information Technology.
- Preference given to students pursuing a degree in IT or a related field such as Computer Science.

Special Instructions to Applicants: STUDENT MUST HAVE A WORK STUDY AWARD! During the Fall and Spring, student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. During the Summer, holiday break and spring break student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Summer only, students must be enrolled in 3 or more credit hours. Student employees must always maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. *This position may require a background check. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
