Job Description:

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at the University at Albany serves all of the college's academic units. The program is jointly sponsored by New York State, the Office of Special Programs, and the University at Albany. The objective of EOP is to see that each student admitted is provided with all the services and assistance necessary for success in the degree program in which he or she is enrolled. The ultimate goal of the program is to make higher education possible for students who lack the normal credentials for college admissions, but who have the potential and motivation for academic success.

The EOP lecturer will be administratively responsible to the EOP director and will work closely with other EOP instructors, counselors, and program staffers. The EOP lecturer will be assigned to teach in the fall and spring semesters. This person must be able to work effectively with college students who are economically and educationally disadvantaged individuals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teaching
  • Teach 2 sections each semester of EOP courses, requiring 4.5 hours of instruction and 4 hours of office hours per week.
