About the Role
The People & Culture Support Officer (PCSO) position is primarily responsible for overseeing administrative and quality assurance tasks related to the engagement of sessional staff. Working closely with Schools and Academic Support Officers (ASO), the PCSO ensures compliance by conducting checks on sessional timesheets, activity types, and pay rates in accordance with the enterprise agreement. Additionally, the role involves handling HR and system-related administrative tasks associated with sessional staff engagement, such as onboarding and Workday processing.
The PCSO will play a key role in streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, aligning with relevant policies, processes, and procedures within the University. Providing excellent customer service, the PCSO will offer advice and address queries while interacting with sessional staff, ASOs, and Academic stakeholders. This entry-level position offers the opportunity for the incumbent to develop generalist HR skills in a supportive environment.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Administration skills and experience and a demonstrated capacity to deliver effective processes and systems
- Experience in front-line customer service with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as independently under general supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications
Completion of a degree relevant without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
