Located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China’s Yunnan province, Yunnan University is one of the earliest comprehensive universities established in western China and is also one of the first batch of 42 first-class universities to be built in China. It is also a national key university directly administered by the Ministry of Education.

The School of Information Science and Engineering of YNU (http://www.ise.ynu.edu.cn/) has five bachelor’s degree programs — namely computer science and technology (a national and first-class undergraduate major), communications engineering (national first-class undergraduate major), electronic information engineering, internet of things engineering and intelligent science and technology.

It has two first-level disciplines at the doctoral degree level and mobile post-doctoral research stations in information and communications engineering and in computer science and technology.

It also has 12 authorized academic master’s degree courses and one professional master’s degree course.

The school now has 140 faculty members, 59 of whom have doctorates. It currently has 1,200 full-time undergraduates, more than 700 master’s degree candidates and more than 80 doctoral candidates.

2. Outstanding young people with doctorates
   Domestic full-time doctoral students: aged 35 or younger; with strong research potential and scientific research capabilities and who have achieved strong academic results over the past five years.
   Postdoctoral scholars at home and abroad and foreign doctorates.
3. Postdoctoral teachers
   We receive applications all year round, focusing on recruiting outstanding doctoral graduates from top-ranking universities and high-level scientific research institutions at home and abroad; generally receiving a PhD degree no more than two years ago, under 35 years of age, to conduct full-time work at the school.
