The Malmesbury campus is the primary and sole location of the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, situated at Dyson's global Research, Design and Development headquarters. It specialises in an integrated engineering degree apprenticeship model, blending academic study with full-time employment on real Dyson projects. Students learn in state-of-the-art facilities while contributing to innovative products in areas like consumer electronics, robotics, and sustainable technologies, developing skills in problem-solving, design, and advanced engineering principles.
- Engineering Fundamentals: First two years cover mathematics, physics, programming, computer-aided design (CAD), manufacturing processes, and introductory design projects to establish a broad technical base.
- Mechanical Engineering: Specialised modules include thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, dynamics, structural mechanics, and advanced prototyping techniques applied to Dyson product development.
