The Shenzhen Campus of the Institute of Advanced Science Facilities is dedicated to pioneering research in advanced photon science and accelerator technologies. It focuses on constructing and operating world-class facilities like the Shenzhen Innovation Light-source Facility (SILF), China's first fourth-generation medium-energy synchrotron radiation light source tailored for high-tech industries, and the Shenzhen Superconducting Soft X-ray Free Electron Laser (S³FEL), the global first medium-energy high-repetition-rate X-ray FEL. These facilities enable groundbreaking studies in microscopic world exploration, new material development, and ultra-high dose rate radiotherapy (FLASH-RT), supporting the Greater Bay Area's national science center ambitions.
This campus integrates theoretical, experimental, and engineering disciplines, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to drive scientific frontiers and industrial innovation.
