• Sergey Korolev (graduated 1927) - Soviet rocket engineer and spacecraft designer who led the development of the R-7 rocket, which launched the first man into space.
• Vladimir Chelomey (graduated 1932) - Soviet mechanics scientist, designer of rocket and space systems, and founder of the OKB-52 design bureau.
• Nikolai Chernykh (graduated 1957) - Soviet and Russian astronomer who discovered numerous asteroids.
