Weather and Climate at UB

Universitas Brawijaya, located in Malang, East Java, experiences a tropical monsoon climate. The city has distinct wet and dry seasons:

• Dry Season (May to October): Temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C with low humidity and minimal rainfall.
• Wet Season (November to April): Temperatures remain similar, but with increased humidity and significant rainfall, averaging 200-300 mm per month.

Extreme weather conditions include occasional heavy rains leading to flooding, which can affect commuting and outdoor activities on the UB campus. The climate supports year-round outdoor research, though adjustments are necessary during the wet season.
