🎓 What is a Tutor in Higher Education?

A tutor in higher education is an academic professional who delivers targeted instructional support to students, typically through small group tutorials, one-on-one mentoring, or practical sessions that complement larger lectures. The term 'tutor' refers to someone who guides learners in mastering complex concepts, developing study skills, and applying knowledge practically. In Somogy County, tutors play a vital role in the university system, especially since the adoption of the Bologna Process in 2006, which standardized three-cycle degrees (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) and emphasized interactive learning.
