We invite applications for a position of Research Programme Manager for the Research Ireland funded Research Professorship awarded to Prof. Sarah Gleeson in the School of Earth Sciences (UCD). The research programme is called "Metals for a Green Ireland: Developing innovative mineral systems and exploration tools" and is focussed on the provision of the critical and strategic raw materials required for the green transition. The research group will initially comprise 14 members from research fellows to PhD students, involves field sites on three continents, collaboration with industry and other stakeholders, and requires significant logistical support.
The Programme manager will report directly to Professor Gleeson and will provide key research and administrative support to the Research Professorship team. The post holder will support the reporting requirements of Research Ireland, including the compilation of researcher outputs, written contribution to reports of a scientific and technical nature, and the documentation of programmes progress and achievements. They will also document the progress of research projects to both internal and external stakeholders.
Salary range: €47,650 to 49,300 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
