Rate My Professor Aleks Subic

Professor Aleks Subic serves as Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Aston University, a position he has held since 2022. He joined the university from RMIT University in Australia, where he spent nearly 20 years in various leadership and academic roles, including as Deputy Vice-Chancellor. At Aston University, Professor Subic has led the institution through a period of significant transformation and growth, strengthening its position as a modern and globally respected university.

Prior to his appointment at Aston, Professor Subic held the title of Emeritus Professor at RMIT University in the School of Engineering. His research interests encompass mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, materials engineering, manufacturing engineering, and interdisciplinary areas including sports science and exercise, with contributions to topics such as materials in sports equipment and 3D printing of composite materials. He has authored or edited numerous publications, including the book Materials in Sports Equipment (second edition, 2019) and multiple peer-reviewed articles and chapters on related subjects. Professor Subic is scheduled to depart Aston University in April 2026 to assume the role of Vice-Chancellor and President at Torrens University Australia.
