Dr. Allan Hicks is a Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at Griffith University, serving as the Program Director for the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science. He graduated from Massey University in 1996, embarking on a career in the medical sciences industry that has spanned international locations. Hicks completed his PhD at Griffith University between 2015 and 2021 under the supervision of Associate Professor Indu Singh, Dr. Avinash Kundur, and Dr. Adrian Charles. His qualifications include PhD, MSc, BMLSc, FIBMS, and MAIMS.
Hicks' research specializations encompass the medical laboratory science profession, including career frameworks and accreditation in Australia, the role of laboratory medicine in clinical decision-making, analytical errors in pathology, histopathology, and contributions to immunology and amphibian immune responses.
