Amanda Isaac is an Adjunct Lecturer and Research Assistant in the Faculty of Education at Southern Cross University, based in room B 3.44 on the Lismore campus. She holds a Bachelor of Education from the Australian Catholic University and a Master of Education from Southern Cross University. Amanda brings over 20 years of dedicated experience in Professional Experience to her role, having previously served as Deputy Director of Professional Experience for the Faculty of Education. In this capacity, she has built strong, productive relationships between school-based educators and university staff, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Initial Teacher Education programs through practical fieldwork placements and support structures.
Her research specializations lie in optimizing professional experiences for preservice teachers, including mentor teacher feedback, the roles of in-school coordinators, and supervising teacher practices.
