Andrew Jones is an Associate Lecturer (Teaching Scholar) in the Faculty of Business, Law and Arts at Southern Cross University. He holds a Diploma in Film and Television (SVAA), a Bachelor of Arts (Macquarie University), and a Graduate Diploma in Communications (UTS). His professional background is in photography and film, and he teaches media studies, primarily supporting first-year students as they transition to university life.
Andrew Jones's research interests include cinema, post-colonialism, and the politics of everyday life. He has participated in various university events and activities, such as running the workshop 'Relaxshop: A representation of the medical body in advertising' at Australia's first medical humanities conference co-hosted by Southern Cross University in 2006, serving as a panel judge for student film screenings in 2009, and facilitating a panel discussion at the Southern Cross University Screen Media Careers Forum in 2023.
