Ardeshir Anjomani is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington's College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs. He joined the University of Texas at Arlington in 1979 as a faculty member in City and Regional Planning and continued his distinguished career for 45 years, earning the title of Professor Emeritus in August 2025, effective September 1, 2025, in recognition of his excellence in teaching, research, and service to the university and community. Anjomani holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Southern California, awarded in 1979, and an M.Arch. from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 1968. Throughout his tenure, he has been actively involved in graduate education, serving as advisor and committee member for numerous master's theses and doctoral dissertations in planning-related fields.
Anjomani's research specializations include economic development, land-use/transport planning, environmental planning, suitability analysis, planning support systems, and urban design.
