William Brazile, PhD, CIH, CSP, professionally known as Bill Brazile, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences at Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Health in 1996, M.S. in Applied Natural Science in 1992, and B.S. in Biology in 1990, all from Colorado State University. Before joining the university in 2005, Dr. Brazile gained over ten years of field experience at Los Alamos National Laboratory in various environment, safety, and health (ES&H) roles, including ES&H assessor and team leader, ES&H trainer and team leader, industrial hygienist, and hazardous waste site remediation oversight officer. With more than 20 years in the ES&H field, he is committed to advancing worker safety and health through research, teaching, and consultation.
Dr. Brazile serves as Director of the CSU Industrial Hygiene Training Program and Director of the Colorado OSHA Consultation Program, which provides safety and health assistance to small businesses under a U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration contract. He teaches five graduate-level courses in occupational and environmental health within the Occupational and Environmental Health Section. His research interests center on occupational noise exposure, ES&H management systems, and general industrial hygiene.
