About Bipul

Dr. Bipul B. Saha is a Professor and Advisor at Indira College of Arts, Commerce and Science (ICACS) in Pune, serving as Professor of Chemistry and Advisor to the Indira University Centre of Sustainable Development. He possesses an M.Sc. in Chemistry (Gold Medalist), Ph.D. in Chemistry, MBA, and Ph.D. in Management, complemented by 45 years of teaching experience and 39 years of administrative experience. His career is marked by significant international involvement in chemistry, including research collaboration with Nobel Laureate Professor Derek Barton. Dr. Saha has served as a Bureau member of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), Titular member of the IUPAC Division of Chemistry and the Environment, IUPAC Committee on Chemistry and Industry, and IUPAC Committee on Chemical Research Applied to World Needs. These roles reflect his substantial impact on global chemical research, environmental chemistry, and applied chemistry initiatives.

Dr. Saha's academic contributions include 12 publications, presentations at 20 international conferences and seminars, and 15 national conferences and seminars. He has received distinguished awards such as the Homi Bhabha Gold Medal, S.N. Bhattacharya Medal, and University Gold Medal. In publishing, he is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the American Chemical Society’s Agricultural Science and Technology Journal, Farm Chemicals International (USA), and Agri Business Global (USA), and Editor of the Indian Society of Environmental Science and Technology Newsletter. Actively engaged in outreach, he participated as a VIP guest and panelist at the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2024 at IIT Guwahati and delivered the introductory speech at the 'Science on Wheels' program at Ramchandra Gaikwad Junior College.
