Dr. Cameron Britton is an Adjunct Senior Clinical Lecturer at Curtin University in the Faculty of Health Sciences, a position he has held since February 2018. He earned his MBBS and BMedSc degrees from the University of Melbourne. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Britton specializes in endocrinology. His clinical career includes serving as an endocrinology registrar in the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. Currently, he heads the Endocrinology and Diabetes service at Hollywood Private Hospital and practices at Living Diabetes & Endocrinology, managing a broad range of endocrine conditions with a teaching focus on adrenal and thyroid medicine at Curtin University.
Britton's contributions to medical literature include co-authoring 'Paget disease of bone – an update' published in Australian Family Physician in 2012, providing insights into the disease's epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, and management. In 2017, he contributed to 'The Changing Presentation of Paget's Disease of Bone in Australia: A Prospective Study in the New England Registry for Paget's Disease of Bone (NERP),' examining temporal changes in disease characteristics. Additional publications feature 'Diabetic ketoacidosis: Key elements of a good sick day care plan' in 2015 alongside Dr. Joey Kaye, and a 2025 article on 'Gestational diabetes – navigating new guidelines' in Medical Forum. These works reflect his expertise in metabolic bone disorders, diabetes management, and gestational diabetes. Through his clinical leadership and academic teaching, Britton supports endocrine education and patient care in Western Australia.
