Chandrasekhar (Chandu) Valluri serves as Associate Professor of Marketing in the Marketing & International Business department within the College of Business at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Marketing Analytics from Creighton University (2019), with a dissertation titled “The Many Types of Churn and Their Predictive Models”; a Master of Arts in International Business from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (2006); a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario (2002); and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Harvard Extension School (2020–). Valluri joined Minnesota State University, Mankato in August 2019 as Assistant Professor of Marketing (tenure-track), advancing to Associate Professor. Previously, he was Associate Professor of Business and Program Director of Executive Education at Viterbo University (2017–2019), Assistant Professor of Business at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (2006–2017), and Academic Advisor at the Kabara Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies (2014–2017). He has served as visiting guest lecturer at the Indian School of Business (2009) and Sri Sathya Sai University (2008–2009). Valluri possesses over 15 years of global consulting experience in food and beverage, IT, textiles technology, IoT, and non-profit management.
His research interests center on predictive analytics, with emphasis on marketing analytics, predictive churn modeling, marketing strategy, small business dynamics, and entrepreneurial marketing. Valluri has received the Keep It Local Grant (2020), PCSW Grant (2020), Lion of the Year from Winona Sunset Lions (2011), and Cambridge Who’s Who recognition (2008). At Minnesota State University, Mankato, he contributes to committees such as the Business School Curriculum Committee, Library Committee, Technology Roundtable, and Academic Trends and Research Group. His conference presentations include the Decision Sciences Institute (2019) and MBAA International Conference (2016).
