Dr. Chen Wang is a Lecturer in Civil and Environmental Engineering in the School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering at Curtin University. She joined Curtin University in August 2024 following the completion of her PhD at the University of Technology Sydney. Her PhD thesis was recognized with the 2023 UTS Faculty of Engineering and IT Dean's List Outstanding Thesis Award, highlighting her excellence in research during her doctoral studies.
Chen Wang's primary research specializations include desalination, organic solvent nanofiltration, lithium recovery, machine learning applications, and circular economy principles. These focus areas align with her contributions to Curtin University's research disciplines in water quality, wastewater treatment, and membrane technology. She serves on the editorial board of Desalination and Water Treatment and is involved in projects at the Curtin Institute for Energy Transition. Among her honors are the Best Early Career Researcher Oral Presentation award and a 2025 research grant from the Curtin University Faculty of Science and Engineering Research Grant Program.
