Christian Frost serves as a Lecturer in the School of Allied Health, Sport and Social Work within Griffith Health at Griffith University. He is located at Academic 1 (L05) 1.41 on the Logan campus, with a contact phone number of (07) 371 21339. Frost convenes undergraduate courses in human services and social work fields, including Human Services Structures (1006HSV), offered in 2026 Trimester 1 on the Gold Coast campus in on-campus mixed mode, and Ethics and Professional Practice (3007HSV), scheduled for 2025 Trimester 2 in online format. These courses contribute to the training of students in foundational and professional aspects of social work practice.
Prior to his current role, Christian Frost was a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) student and sessional tutor in 2017, participating in school events such as the World Social Work Day green team initiative. He has experience as a Sessional Instructor at Griffith University's Health Group, following positions associated with The University of Queensland. Frost has contributed to research on youth mental health, providing assistance with data coding and editing for publications including 'Self-injury in young people and the help-negation effect' (Psychiatry Research, 2017), 'Who Seeks Help Online for Self-Injury?' (Crisis, 2015), and 'Self-Injury, Help-Seeking, and the Internet' (Crisis, 2016). Additionally, he co-authored an abstract with Helen Betts on creative innovations and practices in field education for the ANZSWWER symposium. As a social work academic focused on learning and teaching, Frost supports educational development in health and social work disciplines at Griffith University.
