He holds a Ph.D. from Temple University, an M.S. from Lehigh University, and a B.S. from Lock Haven University. Dr. Weiler's academic interests center on equitable and culturally sustaining pedagogies within middle level education. Additional works include "Preparing Pre-Service Teachers to Sustain Justice-Oriented Action." Dr. Weiler contributes to university governance as Co-Chair of the Institutional Climate Committee for the REVEALS Equity Project, a supplemental member of the Justice Equity Diversity Inclusion Commission appointed by the University President, and a faculty representative on the Steering Committee for Middle States Accreditation. He has co-presented workshops on inclusive teaching and successful first-day strategies at Kutztown University's Center for the Enhancement of Teaching.
