Dr. Danny Guillory is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the School of Education at the University of Southern Mississippi's College of Education and Human Sciences. He currently serves as Interim Associate Director of the School of Education, providing leadership to faculty and programs within the unit. As Program Coordinator, Dr. Guillory oversees several graduate-level programs in educational administration, including the Educational Administration and Supervision M.Ed. (Leadership) offered fully online, the Education (Educational Administration P-12) Ed.S. in building or district levels online, the Education (Educational Administration P-12) Ed.D. in building or district levels online, and the Education (Educational Administration P-12) Ph.D. in building or district levels on the Hattiesburg campus. These programs align with standards from the Educational Leadership Constituent Council and prepare students for professional licensure through the Mississippi Department of Education. Additionally, he advises students in the online Educational Administration and Supervision M.Ed. program through the Office of Online Learning.
Dr. Guillory actively contributes to doctoral education by serving on dissertation committees in the School of Education. He was a committee member for Cymone E. Bradford's Doctor of Philosophy dissertation, 'Factors Shaping Data-Based Decision-Making: The Role of Self-Efficacy, Anxiety, and School Culture in Mississippi’s State Tested Subjects,' awarded December 2025. He also served on committees for dissertations such as 'General Education Teachers' Perspectives and Practices for Inclusion of Students with Disabilities' and 'Do They Matter? What Role Do 5th-12th Grade Teachers' Attitudes Toward Students with Emotional Behavioral Disorders Play in School Discipline?' both awarded December 2025. In Fall 2024, Dr. Guillory participated as a Fellow in the ACUE Faculty Development Institute's Effective Online Teaching Practices program at Southern Miss. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received the 2024–2025 Hampton S. Williams Award, presented annually by the School of Education to exemplary faculty members.
