Dr. Devinder Arora serves as Senior Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at Griffith University, Gold Coast campus, Australia. He commenced his tenure at Griffith University on 16 August 2012 as Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy, holding the position until 31 December 2016, after which he advanced to Senior Lecturer. Arora's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, under Mangalore University (3 August 1992 to 1 July 1996), a Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacology from Punjabi University, and a PhD from Panjab University, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (2000 to 2004).
Arora's research focuses on pharmacology, with contributions to understanding neuroinflammation, the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway in depression, astrocytic glutamatergic transmission in Alzheimer's disease, and neuroprotective effects of compounds in models of stress-induced depression and chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment. His publications, numbering over 60, have accumulated more than 2,200 citations. Key works include 'Astrocytic Glutamatergic Transmission and Its Implications in Alzheimer's Disease' (2022), 'Protection against Radiotherapy-Induced Toxicity: New Hopes for Cancer Patients?'
