About Diogo

Diogo Rodrigues Boito is a professor at the Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC) of the Universidade de São Paulo. He holds a bachelor's degree (2004) and a master's degree (2007) in Physics from the Instituto de Física da Universidade de São Paulo, with a one-year period at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie. He earned his doctorate in Physics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2011. Since 2015, he has served as a professor (livre-docente, MS-3) at IFSC/USP in the Theoretical Physics group.

Boito's research focuses on theoretical particle physics and quantum chromodynamics (QCD), with emphasis on precision calculations involving hadronic tau decays, determinations of the strong coupling constant, and hadronic contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. His work on the strong coupling has been incorporated into the Particle Data Group compilations. He maintains an active publication record in peer-reviewed journals and participates in international collaborations. His professional email address is diogo.boito@ifsc.usp.br.
