Don Harrington is a lecturer in the Finance Department at San Diego State University, part of the Fowler College of Business. He has taught several key undergraduate courses in finance, including FIN 240: Legal Environment of Business, which covers foundational legal principles applicable to business operations; FIN 329: International Business Finance, addressing financial decision-making in international contexts; FIN 323: Fundamentals of Finance; and FIN 325: Intermediate Finance. These syllabi are preserved in the San Diego State University Digital Collections, documenting his instructional contributions across multiple offerings.
An alumnus of San Diego State University, Harrington received his B.A. there circa 1957. He continued his education with an LL.B. from Loyola Marymount University and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1961, accumulating over 65 years of licensure. His legal practice has focused on trusts and estates, as well as estate planning, based in San Diego, California. In addition to teaching, Harrington has engaged deeply with the university community, serving as president of the SDSU Alumni Association in 1980, as recognized in university magazines such as 360. He also acts as Faculty/Staff Advisor for the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at SDSU, supporting student organizations and extracurricular activities. Through his roles, Harrington brings practical legal and business expertise to the academic environment at San Diego State University.
