Ed Moore is a cyber security Lecturer in the Department of Security Studies and Criminology at Macquarie University, situated within the Faculty of Arts. He possesses a robust technical background, with years of hands-on experience in the implementation and auditing of cyber security platforms in industry. Transitioning this expertise to higher education, Mr. Moore has been actively educating students for more than a decade, drawing directly from his professional encounters to deliver practical insights into cyber security challenges. His dedication to fostering the next generation of cyber security professionals is matched by his efforts to heighten public awareness of cyber security concerns, emphasizing real-world applicability in his teaching approach.
As unit convenor and teaching staff for several core courses, including PICT3011 Cyber Security in Practice, PICX8048 Applied Cyber Security, PICT3020 PACE: Ethical Practice in Security Studies and Criminology, and PICX8048 Applied Cyber Security in various sessions, Ed Moore contributes significantly to programs such as the Master of Cyber Security Analysis, Bachelor of Security Studies, and related postgraduate offerings.
