Dr. Febi Dwirahmadi serves as Senior Lecturer in Global Health within the School of Medicine and Dentistry at Griffith University. Originally from Indonesia, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health (Epidemiology) from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia in 2004. She obtained her Master of Science in Public Health, majoring in Disaster Risk Reduction and International Public Health, from Griffith University in 2009, and completed her PhD in Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Urban Resilience at Griffith University in 2016. In 2013, she undertook a short course in Public Health Emergency at the China Academy of Science, Institute of Geography and Natural Resources Center. Dwirahmadi joined Griffith University as a lecturer in Global Health in 2016 and has progressed to her current senior lecturer position. She serves as the Indonesian Program Coordinator for the Centre for Environment and Population Health.
Dwirahmadi's research focuses on disaster risk reduction, community-based disaster resilience building, climate change adaptation, global health security, and public health emergency management. She is a leading researcher in integrating disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into community practices. Her key publications include 'Understanding the Operational Concept of a Flood-Resilient Urban Community in Jakarta, Indonesia from the Perspectives of Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation and Development Agencies' (International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, 2019), 'Linking Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation: A Case Study from Indonesia' (Climate, 2023), 'Health Problems of Increasing Man-Made and Climate-Related Disasters on Forcibly Displaced Populations: A Scoping Review on Global Evidence' (Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness, 2023), and 'Cost-effectiveness analysis of low-sodium potassium-rich salt substitution for stroke prevention in Indonesia' (Journal of Clinical and Translational Endocrinology, 2024). Her work has received over 979 citations on Google Scholar. Dwirahmadi convenes courses such as Global Health: Priorities and Interventions (7232MED), Disaster Management and Resilience Building (7422MED), health program planning, monitoring and evaluation, and public health research methods.
