His publications feature in leading journals such as Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS), Journal of World Business, Global Strategy Journal, Management International Review, International Business Review, and Journal of International Management. Key works include 'State ownership effect on firms’ FDI ownership decisions under institutional pressure: A study of Chinese outward-investing firms' (Cui & Jiang, JIBS, 2012), the most cited JIBS paper adjusted by publication year, and recent JIBS articles on attachment frameworks (Jiang et al., 2022, 2023). A study ranked him first worldwide for empirical research on Chinese outward FDI and MNEs in high-impact journals (2002-2012). His work has taught over fifteen subjects across international business, Asian business, organizational behaviour, marketing, and related disciplines.
