G. James Lemoine is an Associate Professor of Organization and Human Resources in the School of Management at the University at Buffalo, contributing to the Business & Economics faculty. He earned his PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his BS from Louisiana State University. Lemoine joined the University at Buffalo in 2016 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in August 2021. During his doctoral studies at Georgia Tech, he demonstrated exceptional teaching prowess, receiving the Graduate Student Instructor of the Year award for 2013-2014 and the Teaching PhD Candidate of the Year from the Scheller College of Business in 2012-2013.
Lemoine's research specializations encompass servant leadership, ethical and authentic leadership, leader gender and humility, creativity and innovation, organizational ethics, and complexity in leadership. (Personnel Psychology, 2023), and "Technological Entitlement: It's My Technology and I'll (Ab)Use It How I Want" (MIS Quarterly, 2022). He has been honored with the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching and a Best Paper award from the Academy of Management. Lemoine's work has amassed over 5,000 citations on Google Scholar, exerting substantial influence on leadership scholarship worldwide. As a recognized faculty expert, he addresses topics such as leadership development, healthcare leadership, and leader humility; delivers keynote addresses like at the University at Buffalo Leadership Training Camp; and serves on the board of the Southern Management Association.
