Geoff Salm is a Lecturer in the School of Design and the Built Environment within the Faculty of Humanities at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. In 2004, he co-authored the peer-reviewed article 'Management of risks in information technology projects' published in Industrial Management & Data Systems (Volume 104, Issue 4, pages 286-295), alongside David Baccarini from Curtin University of Technology's Faculty of the Built Environment, Art and Design, and Peter E.D. Love from Edith Cowan University. This publication addresses the challenges of high failure rates in IT projects and outlines processes for risk identification, assessment, response development, and control.
