About Iryna

Iryna Zablotska-Manos is Associate Professor in Sexual Health in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney, where she joined Sydney Medical School - Westmead in 2018. A medical doctor holding MD, MPH, and PhD degrees, including her PhD from Johns Hopkins University, she is an epidemiologist affiliated with the Western Sydney Sexual Health Centre. Prior to her current role, she served as Senior Lecturer from 2009 to 2016 and Associate Professor from 2017 at the Kirby Institute, University of New South Wales, where she led the Australian Gay Community Periodic Surveys, a national initiative monitoring HIV and STI epidemiology among gay men. Earlier positions include Research Fellow from 2005 to 2009. Her career has focused on advancing HIV prevention research, including pioneering studies on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) implementation in Australia.
