Rate My Professor Ivan Low

His research centers on exercise physiology, with publications addressing topics such as mitochondrial redox metabolism in cancer cells, thermoregulation during exercise in the heat, effects of heat exposure on brain function and performance, dehydration assessment in athletes, and the use of ice slurry ingestion for cooling. Key works include studies on Bcl-2 modulation of resveratrol-induced reactive oxygen species production (2010), Ser70 phosphorylation of Bcl-2 (2014), heart rate validation from wrist-worn trackers (2019), and elevated brain temperature impairing cortical motor activity (2024). He contributes to education research on the accuracy of large language models in assessing learning outcomes (2024). Low maintains an active profile on Google Scholar with numerous peer-reviewed articles in physiology and related fields.
