About Ivy

Ivy White is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Science at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. A three-time Georgia State University alumna, she earned her J.D. and MBA from the university, a B.A. in Spanish with a concentration in International Business, and an A.A. in accounting from Florida Atlantic University. An Atlanta native who attended high school in South Florida, White brings her professional experience as a litigation attorney, mediator, and business consultant to foster engaging and enriching classroom experiences for students. Her legal practice spans family law, personal injury, workers' compensation, insurance defense, and business law. During law school, she participated as a student attorney on the mock trial team, represented domestic violence victims in Cobb County by her third year, and clerked for the Honorable John J. Goger and the Honorable Alford J. Dempsey in Fulton County Superior Court. In 2016, she was honored by delivering the Student Commencement Address at Georgia State University College of Law's commencement ceremonies, receiving a standing ovation.

Ivy White contributes to the field of legal studies in business through scholarly work and professional service. She is a co-author of an article awarded the Hoeber Memorial Award for an Outstanding Article in the Journal of Legal Studies Education in 2024, collaborating with Susan Willey of Georgia State University and Brandon Mattalo. Additionally, she serves as Vice Chair of the Black Faculty Section in the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB), promoting inclusion and equity in legal education. Her practical expertise and academic engagements highlight her impact on business law pedagogy and student development at Georgia State University.
