Assoc Prof Jagjit Singh Dhaliwal is a Senior Lecturer in Periodontology at the School of Dentistry and Oral Health within the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Griffith University, Gold Coast campus, Australia. As a clinician-scientist, he holds the qualifications BDS, MDS, MPhil, PhD in Craniofacial Health Sciences from McGill University, MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), and FDS RCPS (Glasgow). Prior to his appointment at Griffith University, he worked at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, contributing to research and teaching in health sciences.
Dhaliwal's research specializations include periodontology, periodontal maintenance and management, oral care interventions for palliative patients, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship in dentistry, antibiofilm activities against caries and periodontitis pathogens, and links between oral health and systemic conditions such as stroke and Huntington's disease.
