Jasmin Elliott is a PhD candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the School of Health and Behavioural Sciences. Her doctoral research examines associations between depression and bone health, understanding underlying mechanisms using population datasets. This work explores the relationship between bone health and the development of psychological stress and mood disorders, particularly during the menopause transition.
Jasmin Elliott has contributed to several research initiatives at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She is acknowledged in the LIFE Study, a cross-sectional study protocol investigating lifestyle risk factors for chronic conditions. Additionally, she participated in the study on multidimensional sleep health in midlife women and its associations. As part of the UniSC DeLorean Project PhD Mentorship Program, a partnership with Glasshouse Christian College, she mentors high school students on PhD-level research. Her research interests align with clinical investigations in bone and mineral health, as recognized by the Australian and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society.
