Jenyfer Joy is a Nursing Lecturer in the School of Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health, at the University of New England, based at the UNE Sydney Campus. Her academic background includes qualifications as a Registered Nurse (RN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), Graduate Certificate in Critical Care, and Master of Nursing (Research Studies). Jenyfer has substantial clinical experience in Critical Care and Cardiothoracic High Dependency specialties. She began her academic career in 2013 as a prospective student advisor at Western Sydney University. In 2014, she served as a Bioscience tutor for Badanami Indigenous Students. She has also worked as a sessional academic at Western Sydney University and Australian Catholic University. In 2021, Jenyfer was Research Coordinator at Westmead Hospital Intensive Care Unit. Passionate about teaching, she is dedicated to enriching students' learning experiences and creating safe, inclusive learning environments where students can thrive.
Since 2022, Jenyfer has held the position of Third-Year Leader at the University of New England, where she provides essential guidance to final-year students as they navigate their studies. Her responsibilities encompass facilitating career opportunities in remote and metropolitan hospitals, fostering networking connections with healthcare organizations, and delivering career support throughout students' academic journeys. Jenyfer's academic interests lie in digital health and e-learning within health education. She demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation by continuously exploring new teaching and learning approaches that leverage technology. These efforts aim to enhance the educational experience and better prepare students for the challenges of modern healthcare delivery. Through her combined clinical expertise, teaching dedication, and leadership roles, Jenyfer Joy contributes meaningfully to nursing education at the University of New England.
