Dr. Jie Min Ho is a lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing within the Faculty of Business at Curtin University Malaysia, based at the Miri campus in Sarawak. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in 2021 and Master of Philosophy from Curtin University Malaysia. In her academic role, she delivers courses in Marketing and Tourism, fostering practical skills among students. Dr. Ho serves as the Chair of the Marketing and Website Committee for the Faculty of Business, contributing to faculty operations and digital presence. She co-led the Avantpreneur Business Lab project in collaboration with Avantsar Sdn. Bhd., enabling students to manage a real-world campus business marketing Avant Health products. This initiative focused on operations, marketing strategies, sustainability efforts, and leadership development, bridging academia and industry to enhance employability skills for Generation Z learners in a supportive environment. Her involvement in teaching innovation projects, including those supported by the Curtin Malaysia Teaching Innovation Project and Community Engagement grants, underscores her commitment to experiential learning and student-centered pedagogy.
Dr. Ho's research centers on consumer behaviour, pro-environmental behaviour, tourism and hospitality, event marketing, festival and convention studies, corporate social responsibility, sustainable practices, and digital innovations in services. She is affiliated with the Tourism Research Cluster at Curtin University. Key publications include 'Embracing an uncertain future: COVID-19 and MICE in Malaysia' (Local Development & Society, 2020), which explores pandemic impacts on meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions; 'The determinants of festival participants' event loyalty: a focus on millennial participants' (International Journal of Event and Festival Management, 2022), analyzing loyalty factors; 'Unlocking the secrets of Miri country music festival in Malaysia: a moderated-mediation model examining the power of FOMO, flow and festival satisfaction in driving revisiting intentions' (Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, 2023), highlighting psychological drivers for repeat attendance; 'Green meets food delivery services: consumers' intention to reuse food delivery containers in the post-pandemic era' (Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Insights, 2024), promoting sustainability; and 'Doing good does you good?
