Jill Sadler is a Lecturer in the Curtin School of Nursing, which falls under the Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University, located in Perth, Western Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Nursing). Currently, she is positioned within the Office of the Provost portfolio. Her office is in Room 416, Building 405 (Nursing), on the Curtin Perth campus. Her professional contact details are telephone 08 9266 9830 and email Jill.Sadler@curtin.edu.au.
Jill Sadler serves as the Course Coordinator for Curtin's Undergraduate Nursing Program and also functions as a Unit Coordinator. She plays a key role in nursing education and student development. For instance, she has been involved in the strategic partnership between Curtin University and the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS). This initiative provides undergraduate nursing students with expanded clinical placement opportunities across various settings within EMHS facilities. Sadler emphasized that this partnership represents a “wonderful opportunity” for students, enabling them to explore different clinical experiences, open their eyes to new environments, and refine their practice skills. Such collaborations are vital for addressing nursing workforce shortages by enhancing practical training.
In addition to her teaching and coordination duties, Sadler contributes to curriculum improvement projects. She is a co-author of the article “Embedding specialist stomal therapy nurses into undergraduate nursing curricula: A quality improvement project.” This project was implemented in the final-year Advanced Wound Care unit of the Bachelor of Nursing program at Curtin University, Western Australia. Collaborators included Kate Brereton, Sandy Hyde-Smith, Ngaire Kasdorf, Anna Kosek, and others from the School of Nursing. The effort focused on integrating specialist stomal therapy expertise into the undergraduate curriculum through collaboration between ostomate educators and academic staff.
Sadler also supports diversity and inclusion efforts at Curtin University. She is listed as Mrs Jill Sadler, Health Sciences, among signatories to the Panel Pledge, an initiative promoting gender equity by ensuring diverse representation on selection panels and committees.
