John Diltz is a professor in the Finance and Real Estate Department at the University of Texas at Arlington, part of the Business & Economics faculty. He holds a PhD from the University of Illinois in 1980, an MS from the University of Illinois in 1978, and a BS from Purdue University in 1976. Diltz served as Department Chair during the 2018-2019 academic year and has been with the university since 1987, contributing over 35 years to finance education. He taught graduate-level courses including Real Options (FINA 5330) and Mathematical Finance (FINA 5350), and supervised doctoral students, such as those completing PhDs in business administration in 2011. Diltz participated in university committees, including those listed for 2021-22, and earned the 2019 Employee Service Outstanding Mavericks Award for his dedicated service in Finance and Real Estate.
